THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th @ 7:30 IS OUR NEXT CAMPFIRE SESSION AT THE DEPOT PUB ON ONTARIO STREET IN GRIMSBY. COME ONE, COME ALL AND BRING YOUR ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENT, YOUR VOICE, AND YOUR THIRST AS WE LISTEN TO SOME GREAT MUSIC THROUGHOUT THE EVENING. EVERYBODY CAN JOIN IN WHETHER IT IS WITH SINGING, CLAPPING, DANCING OR JUST HAVING A GOOD TIME. SEE YOU THERE. BRING YOUR FRIENDS !

Our fourth session was a rockin’ and enjoyable time. We had a few first timers ( Steve, Pat, Corey, Vern, and Kyle as well as the guy in the yellow shirt). If you have never heard a ukelele version of ACDC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long”, you missed out on a great experience. Thanks Kyle! Nice to see Craig out again after a few months absence. It’s always a pleasure listening to Brian, Catharine, Trish, and Sam and the various people who sing and just have fun. There were people dancing and singing until closing time . A good time !

PS-We used a small sound system for the first time on July 9th. I would like your opinions on whether or not we should continue with a system or revert back to strictly acoustic. Please let me know what you think. (Jerry - gmackie3@cogeo.ca)

SESSION UPDATE – Next Session July 9th.

Our third session on June 11th. was well attended. Several guests sat at the tables and listened while some great music was being played. Everybody seemed to be having a good time. Our friend Sam showed up for the first time and joined in the fun.

Our next session is scheduled for July 9th. at 7:30.

Over the first few sessions one suggestion put forward by many of the players was to allow amplification of the acoustic guitars. This will allow everyone to thoroughly enjoy the music; especially any leads. We hope to have a sound system available so that the guitarists or any other musicians can plug in their acoustic/electric instruments . Please bring a cord if you have one. This sound system will be quite useful when we have the sessions outside. You can still bring your non-electrified guitars and play.

Thanks to Audie & Lynn for the use of the Depot Pub for the Campfire Sessions and the best of luck in the future. Hope to see you at upcoming Sessions.

Don’t forget June 11th is our next Campfire session at THE DEPOT PUB. Bring your your friends and instruments or just come and enjoy! Everyone is invited to sing, play , etc.. We start at 7:30 pm.

Our second campfire session went off without a hitch. I was even there early.

Song and cheer lasted to well after 11:00 pm.

Hi all,

Our first session was a success. Thanks to Brian (guitar & vocals), Derek (guitar & vocals), Russ (guitar & vocals), Trish (Jerry’s guitar & vocals), Catharine (vocals), Larry (vocals), Aidan (harp & vocals), the guy at the bar (harp), Jerry (guitar & vocals) Sorry I was late. I will be there in time for the next session.

Thanks to Audie & Lynn for providing the venue.

The next session will be on Thursday, May 14 @ 7:30.
